Miller's 8-Point Burst Haunts Knicks Again
In a preseason matchup reminiscent of a painful NBA memory, the New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-88 on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
Twenty-nine years ago, Reggie Miller famously scored eight points in 89 seconds against the Knicks at the same venue. On Tuesday, the Knicks held a 59-41 lead after the first half and never looked back.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 22 points, followed by Obi Toppin with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tobias Harris paced the 76ers with 20 points, while Joel Embiid added 18 points.
The Knicks, now 5-0 in the preseason, will face the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night. The 76ers, who fell to 3-1, will host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.
